Steamed carrot and pumpkin make a smooth mash for early solids, and soft sticks later for little hands. Everyday vegetables from the market.
What you need • A small piece of carrot • A small piece of pumpkin (bhopla) • Water for steaming
How to make it
- Peel and chop into small cubes.
- Steam until a fork slides through easily (about 10–12 minutes).
- Mash until smooth. Add a spoon of the cooking water if it is thick.
- Cool and offer on a spoon.
For little hands later: Cut soft steamed sticks they can hold, once they manage lumpy textures.
A little tip: Introduce one vegetable at a time first, then mix.
